Insights from Interclean Amsterdam: Turning Innovation into Better Outcomes for Our Clients

Earlier this month, the team at Moore Services team spent three days at Interclean Amsterdam, the world's largest exhibition for the professional cleaning and facilities management industry.

Representing our daily operations, specialist industrial services and contract management teams, the visit formed part of our ongoing commitment to investing in new ideas, emerging technologies and best practice from across the global facilities management sector.

With thousands of exhibitors and industry professionals from around the world, Interclean offered a unique opportunity to engage directly with manufacturers, technology providers and fellow industry experts, while seeing first-hand how innovation is transforming the future of cleaning and building services.

Looking Beyond Traditional Cleaning

The facilities management industry continues to evolve rapidly. Clients increasingly expect higher standards of service, greater operational efficiency, stronger sustainability credentials and more meaningful reporting.

Throughout the exhibition, our team met with a wide range of suppliers and attended live demonstrations of the latest developments in robotic cleaning, smart building technology, digital asset management and data-driven service delivery.

Rather than simply looking for new equipment, our focus was on identifying practical solutions that could deliver genuine value for our clients across commercial offices, public sector buildings, educational campuses and specialist facilities.

From Exhibition Floor to Client Sites

One of the most valuable aspects of attending Interclean is the opportunity to evaluate technologies in real-world environments before introducing them into our own operations.

Following the exhibition, we have already begun implementing several of the solutions explored in Amsterdam, including:

LionsBot R5 autonomous scrubber dryers to improve productivity across suitable large floor areas while allowing our teams to focus on higher-value cleaning tasks.

ToolSense, helping us digitally manage equipment, servicing schedules and asset performance to improve operational efficiency.

Hailo Digital Solutions, providing enhanced monitoring and smarter management of washroom and consumable services where appropriate.

These technologies are not designed to replace people. They enable our teams to work more efficiently, improve consistency and deliver an even higher standard of service.

Innovation That Supports Better Facilities Management

For Moore Services, innovation is never about adopting technology for its own sake.

Every new product or system is assessed against a simple question:

Will this improve the service our clients receive?

Whether that means improving productivity, increasing transparency, supporting ESG objectives, reducing resource consumption or enhancing the user experience within a building, every investment must have a clear operational benefit.

This approach has become an important part of how we continue to develop our services across cleaning, industrial maintenance, specialist works and integrated facilities support.

Investing in Continuous Improvement

At Moore Services, we believe continuous improvement is driven by staying connected with our industry.

Attending events such as Interclean allows our team to benchmark against international best practice, strengthen relationships with leading suppliers and ensure our clients continue to benefit from the latest innovations available.

As we continue expanding our range of integrated building services, we remain committed to combining experienced people, proven processes and smart technology to deliver cleaner, safer and better-managed environments for every client.
